As hotels across America begin the phased stages of reopening their doors, guests will naturally have concerns about their safety and well-being. Meeting and event planners must feel informed and comfortable with a venue that will make their attendees feel the same while maintaining the excitement of the event itself.

Hotels have announced multiple new safety and cleanliness measures they are beginning to use as they start to book rooms. Previous years prove that technology will be a large part of each strategy (along with the obvious cleanliness and face-covering measures). We gathered the details of the plans from our preferred hotel partners and shared it with our clients in an effort to gauge their comfort level with future meetings, events, and incentive trips they have planned. Then, we followed-up with virtual roundtable discussions to listen to their thoughts and reactions.

Overall, nearly 20 customers participated in these meetings, spanning a wide variety of sectors including Automotive, Financial, Insurance, Life Sciences, Foodservice, Retail, and Manufacturing. This cross-sector mixture of viewpoints emerged as the key findings document that can be found in our whitepaper linked below.

The roundtable discussion was very insightful and instructive thanks to our clients’ contributions. We look forward to hearing more about our clients’ continued thoughts as we continue the on-site readiness conversation during the return to face-to-face meetings, events, and incentive travel.
